SRD R370 Grant Payment Methods
The SRD R370 grant can be paid through two methods: direct bank transfer (EFT) to your personal bank account, or Cash Send (retail collection) where you collect cash at a store. You do not need a bank account to receive the grant — Cash Send works with just your ID and a cellphone.
Method 1: Bank EFT (Direct Deposit)
SASSA deposits your grant directly into your personal South African bank account. Payments are processed between the 25th and last day of each month. Funds typically reflect 1 to 3 business days after processing, depending on your bank.
| Bank | Typical Credit Time |
|---|---|
| Capitec | Same day (2-4 hours) |
| FNB | Same day to 1 business day |
| Standard Bank | 1 to 2 business days |
| Absa | 1 to 2 business days |
| Nedbank | 1 to 2 business days |
| TymeBank | Same day |
| Bank Zero | Same day |
| Postbank | Same day to 1 business day |
Bank Account Requirements

Method 2: Cash Send (Retail Collection)

- Boxer — all branches nationwide
- Checkers — all branches nationwide
